As my introductory photo shapshot of
my family, here you will see a photograph of my maternal
grandfather, Dillard Clinton Austin sitting in the chair and he is
surrounded by the ones he loved best, his children. They are
from left to right, my mother, Joyce Austin Medley, Anita
Austin Hobbs, Gerald Clinton Austin, Brenda Austin Davis and Glenda
Austin Howell. This photo was taken at my grandfather's 90th
birthday. He passed away just weeks after this was taken.
So now that you have a glimpse into my maternal roots and their
faces, let's get started with the
genealogy.
On the following pages, you will find our family history project. There are approximately 7000 family members in our database at the current time and it is constantly growing. With the research that I have been able to gather and present here for all to enjoy, I will be working to compose and print a Medley Family History book. More details will be forthcoming.
